Edith, Forest In The City.

Edith, Forest In The City.

Edith number two. What a dream. What a memory.

Edith, The Forest In The City, holds a memory of some of the first projects that Celine did at fashion school. They remind her of the horse project that she did on her second year. A research from Red Fox Hunting in the UK. A look into materials. A scottish tartan and a love for wool.

It also reminds her of childhood. Growing up on the countryside. Being dressed in full tartan at all possible occasions, by her mother. Being in the forest with her Grandpa, Jørgen. A former military man, with a love for gardening. A man who loves tartan, dogs, his goldfishes in the pond and to fix other peoples gardens.

A childhood where the tartan pattern was never really out of sight. A childhood that is somewhat left behind, waiting for her, every time she leaves the city. A dream of growing her own vegetables some day. A dream of seeing her grandparents more. A dream of getting grass under her toes.

A dream that this Edith, can bring some amazing memories back to the girls living in the big cities around the world. Maybe! a dream, that Edith, will make people give their childhood an extra thought, once in a while. And make them smile.

Care instructions.

Since I'm quite special, my mom says that I can't go into a washing machine - that it's simply too dangerous!

Therefore, I prefer to go to the dry cleaners, or getting a hand wash at home in the sink.

Since I'm handmade and each pearl is hand sewn on me - I should probably not get a shower at all - but mistakes happen and I can take a damp cloth. Just be aware that I'm very fragile in a washing process.

Notes from my mommy.

This Edith, was one of the first Edith's to come alive. She's made out of pure love and curiosity.

She took hours and hours to make (around 6 episodes of Law and Order) and is made from a fabric dear to my heart. Please take great care of her.

Love, Celine
